Whitehall Collies

Whitehall
Collies

Our Collies

Our maternal line began with a white Collie named McKenzie. She has retired to our couch, but not before leaving her mark: lots of white Collies around here!

Ladies first

It’s a family affair. First there was McKenzie, then her daughter Liya.
Liya’s daughter Tieghan had a daughter of her own, Zoey.
In May 2023, Zoey had seven babies of her own!

White Cloud’s Angel Flight HIC “McKenzie”

This little girl started life as an orphan; her breeder, who had big dreams for her, passed away when McKenzie was just 2 weeks old. We bought her sight-unseen, and she started it all.

Whitehall Honey Ridge HIC “Liya”

Liya was a standout puppy from McKenzie’s first litter. She is the dam of 14 Whitehall Collies, including an important daughter, below…

Whitehall Ladyvale’s The Divine Miss M “Tieghan”

Tieghan was the product of a sneaky tryst between Liya and the 2018 #1 Stud Dog in a broom closet at the Collie Nationals. Are we ever glad we could finesse that one!

Whitehall Bobbi Sox “Zoey”

We call Zoey “The Kardashian.” Even coming in from the woods, she always looks like this. Zoey has a 5-point major over champions from her second show weekend and a 4-point major from her third. She thinks she is all that. Maybe she is!

Whitehall I Told You So "Betsy"

Betsy is our youngest show hopeful, still in the growing-up stage. (That's her on the left, above.)
She followed in her mother Tieghan's paw-steps at our Collie Club of America National Specialty,
taking second place honors in the lovely Open White class.
Tieghan brought home a giant red ribbon four years earlier from the same class.

Whitehall No Frills, a smooth Collie, winning at a dog show

Whitehall No Frills "Fleur"

Fleur is Whitehall's first smooth Collie! Her sire is CH Avondale Wear The Brand, a handsome tricolor smooth Collie. She is pictured here winning "Best Puppy" at The Collie Club of Georgia's 2023 Specialty show under judge Joe Reno.
We have never had a smoothie before, but Fleur captured our hearts with her gentle inquisitiveness and intelligence.
That, and she's pretty!

The Guys

We only have one Man of the House, CH Whitehall Gramercy Park IT “Bruce” – here’s a few brag photos of our studly guy

CH Whitehall Gramercy Park IT “Bruce”

CH Milas Absolutely Macho x Whitehall Ladyvale’s The Divine Miss M

Bruce was Tieghan’s first puppy, a large and impressive sable male from the moment he was born. At 10 months he entered his first show, taking a major reserve among 12 seasoned competitors in Tallahassee. Bruce finished his AKC Championship in August 2023. He is currently available at stud to approved bitches.

Bruce monitors the puppies here at Whitehall, watches over our girls, and is always available for hugs.

Not just another pretty face: Bruce aced double runs for an AKC herding instinct qualification, coming home with a title, a big smile, and a slight odor

Even as a puppy, Bruce’s happy movement in the ring was a dream come true.

He’s no slouch standing still, either!

While there’s only one resident male at Whitehall currently, we have bred many glamorous males who have gone on to do great things. Here are a few of them:

CH Whitehall Ladyvale’s Legends of the Fall “Trax”

Trax is Tieghan’s pretty-boy brother. He took over showdog duty at Ladyvale Collies in Michigan, completing his championship in March 2021 in Nashville, TN, professionally handled by Taylor Lafferty.

Whitehall Hey Daddy “Argyle”

Argyle is best known for his Coverdog skills. Here he graces Whitehall’s 2019 Christmas card. After a single 5-point major Best of Breed win at Columbiana, AL, he was requested by my daughter to be their Christmas family surprise. He’s been there ever since, the happiest and most picturesque Collie in Hoschton, GA.

Whitehall Glory Ridge “Ridge”

Ridge is Liya’s brother, from our very first litter. He was snapped up by my mentor and friend, Mary Allen of Ladyvale Collies in Michigan, and went on to a show career. Ridge has the movie-star looks, but unfortunately he was sidelined by an injury and did not finish his championship. Here he is at our Collie Nationals in Louisville, KY at 18 months of age.
